Anang Desai is an Indian television and film actor. He is best known for his portrayal of the character Tulsidas Parekh in the Star Plus TV series Khichdi, which was also later made into a feature film Khichdi: The Movie.

Education

He completed graduations from the National School of Drama, Delhi in 1978.

Anang Desai is settled in Mumbai with his wife Chitra Desai, a lawyer and has two sons.

Acting Career

He first appearance in films was as J.B Kriplani in Sir Richard Attenborough's Gandhi (1982). His first television serial was Raj Se Swaraj in 1987. In his career, Anang has worked in over 80 TV shows and is best known for his work in the series Akbar-Birbal, Imtihan, Tenali Rama, Sparsh, Mahayagya and Bharat Ek Khoj.

He made his film debut with Gandhi (1982) after graduating from the National School of Drama. Anang has worked with leading directors like Shyam Bengal, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt and Satish Kaushik and is best known for his work in the films Bal Bramhachari (1996), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Yaadein (2001), Ishq Vishk (2003), Tere Naam (2003), Baghban (2003) and Khichdi: The Movie (2010). H enow has the film Take it Easy lined up.
