Bhakhtiyar Irani turned out to be the surprise package on the popular dance show Nach Baliye alongwith his wife Tanaaz Irani. He was known as a reality actor and that used to disturb him a lot as he always wished to earn the stamp of an actor rather than a reality star. It is after 10 years, when the producer cum director cum writer, Aatish Kapadia trusted me with the role of Ronnie D'Souza for his alien drama soap, Badi Door Se Aayein Hain."
He also appeared in a number of reality dance shows broadcast in Doordarshan National Channel. He has also seen in Bigg Boss 6 as short guest appearance. He has also appeared in Himesh Reshammiya and Urmila Matondkar starrer, Karzzzz (2008) playing the role of Dr. Dayal. He was also seen as an extra dancer in the song "Koi Mil Gaya" in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Bhakhtiyar and Tannaz have their Dance Academy TEE & BEE in Dubai.
Bakhtiyaar Irani has apparently added one more feather to his cap and turned to direction. He said, "Yes, I have developed a keen interest in editing and direction being a part of Badi Door Se Aaye Hai. Recently, I have choreographed a song sequence and its one of the kind which people would have never seen on television. I believe that I give my 100 percent in whatever I do. Whenever I am free onsets, I make it a point to learn what goes behind the screen."
