Sonam Kapoor Was born in Chembur which is the suburb of Mumbai located in India.She can speak Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi and Marathi. She is an Indian actress and model and is a very good trained classical dancer. which consists of Punjabi speaking Anil Kapoor and Sindhi speaking mom, Sunita.

Kapoor is the daughter of Bollywood Super Star actor Anil Kapoor and ex-model Sunita Kapoor. She is the Niece of Filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Actress Sridevi. She has eldest of sister, Rhea Kapoor and brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor.

Acting Career

She made her debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film "Saawariya", on 2007, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Even though the movie didn't do well at the box office, She acting was much appreciated. Her second movie, "Delhi 6", with Abhishek Bachchan, earned her much critical and audience acclaim. She had her first hit with her third release,

"I Hate Luv Storys" also starring Imran Khan while her home production, "Aisha" based a novel by ‘Emma’ by Justin Austin and produced by her father. In 2011 she was seen in Thank You and Mausam. Both the films failed to do much at the box-office Her next upcoming movie. Kapoor upcoming movie in 2014, Khoobsurat and Dolly Ki Doli. Sonam was seen in Sooraj Barjatya's film 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' opposite Salman Khan.

Sonam is all set to play the role of a flight attendant her upcoming movie 'Neerja Bhanot'. This biopic is being planned on the life of Neerja Bhanot, the 23-year-old flight attendant who saved many lives during the 1986 hijacking of an American airliner in Karachi. The movie was released on 19 February 2016.
